JSTI possesses core technologies in highway planning and consultation, survey and design, test and inspection, engineering general contracting, scientific and technological research and development, and engineering supervision. It can provide owners with research on the development strategic planning of highways, traffic economic analysis, transportation statistics, traffic energy conservation and emission reduction, engineering feasibility studies and post-evaluation; survey and design of highway and bridge projects, survey and design of road expansion and reconstruction projects, design of pavement maintenance and improvement projects, and pavement maintenance planning. It also undertakes test and inspection operations as well as quality and safety consultation services in the field of highway engineering. Meanwhile, JSTI is also committed to the scientific research and development in aspects of asphalt pavement, bridge diagnosis and maintenance and repair, comprehensive technology for health inspection and diagnosis of long and large bridges, design of special bridges, control and improvement of bridge construction quality, inspection and comprehensive assessment of steel structures, and research and development of related technologies and products for information management. Moreover, it can provide supervision and consultation services for large domestic highway projects, bridge projects and tunnel projects.
