The project is located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is designed and constructed according to American Standard and Bangladesh Standard, and adopts EPC general contracting, with the contract amount of USD 1,359 million and the construction period of five years. The main body of the project is a 24km two-way four-lane viaduct, 14.28km ground road reconstruction, and comprehensive supporting projects such as housing construction and electromechanical engineering. The project is a cooperative project between the governments of China and Bangladesh. It is a fruitful achievement of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, with great social influence and political significance.
Main Work Undertaken
JSTI is responsible for design consultation, construction supervision and project management.
Innovation Points
(1) Study the differences between Chinese and foreign norms and standards in depth, improve business capacity and level, provide quality services, enhance corporate image, and establish corporate brand.
(2) Adhere to pay equal attention to both economic and social benefits, do a good job in environmental protection to promote local employment, select and train local staff, create localization and reduce costs.
(3) China and Bangladesh jointly promote the project to build “Golden Bangladesh” and increase the happiness index of the local people.
